Connecting families,
resources, and community
There is a great need in our communities to better meet the needs of at risk children and the families caring for them. Foster Connections is designed to do just that. We connect families with valuable resources, provide support, encouragement, a welcoming space to to come together, and above all ensure they have what they need for the best chance of success.
Serving our future today
In the Montrose and Delta communities there are over 150 children in foster care or kinship homes. This means that these children live somewhere other than with their biological parents.
Often times children are placed with family members or a family friend, and they do not receive the resources or support during the hardest part of this journey, which is the initial placement.
These families need support at the very beginning and throughout the duration of the case, and if the case goes to an APR or an adoption, they need ongoing support. Foster Connections is excited to begin filling this space.
